To hear The Fleecing Krazmontrats can be a thrilling experience. Playing music is such a complex business involving so many personal and external conditions that it is never certain how well you are going to play until the first number of the evening is over. Watching The Fleecing Krazmontrats perform, you are immediately aware of their intense search for new ways in which to interpret their material.

A lot of people wonder why for ones so young The Fleecing Krazmontrats have a preoccuppation with songs about death. Although rarely inarticulate, the boys can't explain the attraction of these songs beyond the power and emotional wallop they administer. With tracks like "Happy and Free", The Fleecing Krazmontrats have taken the raw growl of the old death haunted blues men and transfused this into a husky, hunky punk rock melee.

However the Fleecing Krazmontrats may flirt with the dark arena of death, but to class them as harbringers of doom would be a fatal error. Flip over the coin and another picture of the band emerges, one of sweetness and light, assurance and safety. Anthems like "Backstreet Boys F**k Off" showcase a tempting vulnerability, a chance for the band to really open their hearts and bare their souls to their millions of adoring fans. For those amongst us who like to dance, you too are catered for. If you can't shake a leg to "Wassup " then you can't have any legs. Two weeks ago, I stuck my neck out to say that The Fleecing Krazmontrats would become one of the top performing bands this side of Redcar. Now, with their frightening dance of Voodoo Rock n' Roll I know I was right - they are the best damn it. Kings and Caretakers of their own inimitbale bulky strident sound, The Fleecing Krazmontrats are trailblazing a hightly innovative path striving for truth, justice, emotion and compassion. Leaders of men, a true Millemium musical phenomenon. They've changed my life, let them change yours.
